R.E. Sargent

R.E. Sargent is an author, editor, and publisher of horror, suspense, and supernatural fiction. He is the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of Sinister Smile Press, where he worked with both emerging and established voices in horror and helped bring dark, unconventional, and deeply unsettling fiction to readers through novels, anthologies, and collaborative projects.

His own fiction explores psychological dread, grief, obsession, brutality, and the darkness hidden beneath ordinary lives. His collection Everything Went to Shit and upcoming novels Dirt Nap for Debbie and Fury: Retribution continue that exploration of damaged people, terrible choices, and the things that linger long after the worst has happened.

He lives in the hauntingly beautiful Pacific Northwest with his wife, his Australian Shepherd shadow, and the unrelenting rain.
